The annual “Monsoon Valley’s Harvest Festival 2023” in Hua Hin returns
Monsoon Valley, Thailand’s most internationally awarded wine, is celebrating the yearly grape harvest from 18th to 26th February. Home to over 10 varieties of grapes, Monsoon Valley is Thailand’s largest vineyard, with a plantation area of approximately 300 rai (110 hectares), producing over 300,000 bottles of wine per year, which is exported all over the world.
K. Varit Yoovidya, Assistant Managing Director of Siam Winery Group, stated that “2023's vintage is expected to be another remarkable year despite the impact of unexpected rains in November on the yield. The prolonged cold spell benefited the Merlot, Colombard and Chenin Blanc grapes, as it allowed for a slower development of flavor while preserving their fresh fruit characters. This is expected to produce crisp white wines and elegant red wines which we can all look forward to.”
